Summary

Product identification

Lewatit® DW 630 is a macroporous, monodisperse, polystyrene-based strongly basic anion exchange resin (type I). It is loaded with sulfate and is intended for potable water purity grade applications.

Applications

  • Removal of natural sulfate and carbonate complexes of uranium from potable water to below 10 ppb.
  • Removal of natural organic matter (NOM) such as humic acids, fulvic acids, organic building blocks, and carboxylic acids from potable water.

Operating limits

  • Stability pH range: 0-14
  • Stability temperature range: 1-80 °C
  • Operating temperature (max.): 80 °C
  • Operating pH range during exhaustion: 6-8
  • Max. pressure loss during operation: 300 kPa

Feed water

  • The resin is loaded with sulfate.

Product water

  • Potable water purity grade.
  • Removes target impurities without significantly exchanging major water constituents (Cl⁻, HCO₃⁻, NO₃⁻).
