Engineering summary from PDF text extraction for LEWATIT® S 100 KR / H CL-FREE. Verify every value with the OEM datasheet.
Summary
Product identification
Lewatit® S 100 KR-H Cl-frei is a strongly acidic, gel-type cation exchange resin. It is supplied in a highly regenerated form (min. 99 % H⁺) and purified to meet nuclear industry specifications, with an extremely low content of desorbable chloride ions.
Applications
This resin is particularly suitable for:
- Removal of cations, including radioactive isotopes, from aqueous solutions (pH control through adsorption of excess Li⁺).
- Decontamination of circuits in nuclear reactor plants.
- Removal of radioactive cations such as caesium 137.
- Treatment of primary coolant in pressure water reactors.
- Removal of activated cleavage or corrosion products, including mechanical filtration of suspended impurities.
- Polishing in primary and secondary sections as a mixed bed component with Lewatit® MonoPlus M 500 KR or Lewatit® MonoPlus M 800 KR.
Important: Rinse carefully with demineralized water prior to service or mixing with Lewatit® MonoPlus M 500 KR or Lewatit® MonoPlus M 800 KR.

Storage
Store ion exchange resins at temperatures above the freezing point of water, under roof, in dry conditions, and out of direct sunlight. If the resin freezes, allow it to thaw gradually at ambient temperature without mechanical handling before use. Do not accelerate the thawing process.
