Product Information
Specifications
- Appearance: White powder
- pH (2% solution): 10.5-11.5
Performance Benefits

- Highly buffered to resist pH changes during the cleaning process.
- Compatible with polyamide membranes from all major manufacturers.
Instructions for Use
Cleaning Procedure Summary
- Prepare Solution: Fill cleaning tank with RO permeate or deionized water. Heat to the maximum acceptable temperature per membrane manufacturer's guidelines. Add RoClean P111 to create a 1% wt/wt solution (mild fouling) or 2% wt/wt solution (moderate to severe fouling). Recirculate for mixing.
- Clean Stages: Run cleaning solution through each RO system stage, one at a time, for a minimum of 60 minutes at the membrane manufacturer's recommended flow rate.
- For 4-inch diameter elements, flow rate is 10 gpm (2.4 m³/hr) per vessel.
- For 8-inch diameter elements, flow rate is 40 gpm (9.0 m³/hr) per vessel.
- Heavily Fouled Membranes: Discard up to 15% of the solution if it becomes discolored or turbid. Soaking period (up to 8 hours) may benefit heavily fouled elements.
- Monitor pH: Monitor pH during cleaning. If pH remains in the desired range and the solution is clear, it can be used for subsequent stages. If pH drops, prepare a new batch and repeat steps 1-4.
- Rinse and Return to Service: After cleaning, rinse membranes by flushing with RO permeate. The system can then be returned to service.
Packaging
- Formats: Pail, Fiber carboy, Fiber drum
- Sizes (Americas/Asia): 45 lb, 90 lb, 350 lb
- Sizes (EMEA): 20 kg
