Roclean P303

Engineering summary from PDF text extraction for Roclean P303. Verify every value with the OEM datasheet.

Summary

Product identification

  • Product Name: RoClean P303
  • Product Type: Low pH buffered cleaner (powder)

Specifications

  • Appearance: White powder
  • pH (2% solution): 2.4-3.8

Performance Benefits

  • Specialized blend of proprietary buffers, chelants, surfactants and dispersants.
  • Superior to generic citric and hydrochloric acid solutions in the removal of metals and calcium carbonate scale.
  • NSF certified for off-line use in systems producing drinking water.
  • Highly buffered to resist pH changes during the cleaning process.
  • Temperature compensated to maintain optimum pH over a wide temperature range.
  • Compatible with both polyamide and cellulose acetate membranes from all membrane manufacturers.
  • Suitable for use with other Avista cleaners.

Instructions for Use

Cleaning Procedure Summary

  1. Fill cleaning tank with RO permeate or deionized water. Heat solution to maximum acceptable temperature for membrane efficiency.
  2. Add RoClean P303 to achieve:
    • 2% wt/wt solution for moderate to severe fouling.
    • 1% wt/wt solution for mild fouling.
  3. Recirculate solution for adequate mixing.
  4. Run cleaning solution through each RO system stage for a minimum of 60 minutes at the membrane manufacturer's recommended flow rate.
  5. If cleaning solution becomes discolored or turbid, discard up to 15% of the volume. Heavily fouled elements may benefit from soaking up to 8 hours.
  6. Monitor pH. If it remains in the desired range and the solution is not turbid, it can be used for subsequent stages. If pH rises, prepare a new batch.
  7. After cleaning, rinse membranes by flushing with RO permeate. Return system to service.
