Vitec® 2000 is a liquid antiscalant and dispersant.

Performance benefits

• Powerful against Calcium Carbonate (CaCO₃), Calcium Sulfate (CaSO₄), Barium Sulfate (BaSO₄), Strontium Sulfate (SrSO₄), Calcium Fluoride (CaF₂), and Silica (SiO₂).
• High tolerance for ferrous ion and excellent dispersant for alum particles.
• Highly effective in a wide variety of feedwaters and pH ranges.
• Compatible with polyamide and cellulose acetate RO/NF membranes from all major manufacturers.

Operating limits

This product is designed for use in reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration (NF) systems.

Feed water

Can be used in a wide variety of feedwaters, including surface or well waters, as well as applications in seawater, brackish water, and wastewater for the production of industrial waters.

Instructions for use

Injecting

• Inject downstream of multimedia filters and upstream of cartridge filters.
• If using sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄), inject acid far enough upstream to ensure adequate mixing prior to Vitec 2000 injection.

Dosing

• A typical dose ranges from 2-5 mg/l.
• Site-specific doses can be determined using the Avista Advisor software program.

Dilution

• Formulated to be injected neat.
• If dilution is required, use deionized water or RO permeate. Softened water may be substituted if neither is available.
• Dilution should not result in a solution strength of less than 10% to protect the internal bacteriostat.
