Vitec® 7000 is a multicomponent liquid antiscalant and dispersant.

Performance Benefits

• Powerful against calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), calcium sulfate (CaSO₄), barium sulfate (BaSO₄), strontium sulfate (SrSO₄), calcium fluoride (CaF₂), and silica (SiO₂).
• Formulated with a crystal modification property that distorts inorganic salt crystal growth to reduce system fouling.
• Threshold scale inhibition at low dose rates allows economical system operation.
• Highly effective in a wide variety of feedwaters and pH ranges.
• Compatible with polyelectrolyte coagulants and RoQuest® coagulants.

Application

• Prevents calcium sulfate (CaSO₄) scale precipitation, allowing up to 7 times saturation.
• Primary application: brackish water or wastewater rich in sulfate, requiring a specialty product for economic membrane system recovery.
• Successfully applied on industrial and potable applications.
• Approved for use in systems producing drinking water in the UK.
• Formulated using ingredients approved for use in European drinking water systems and by NSF International under NSF/ANSI Standard 60.

Instructions for Use

Injecting

• Best results achieved when injected downstream of multimedia filters and upstream of cartridge filters.

Dosing

• A typical dose ranges from 2-5 mg/l.
• A site-specific dose can be determined using the Avista Advisor software program.

Dilution

• Formulated to be injected neat.
• If dilution is required, use deionized, or RO permeate. Softened water may be substituted if neither is available.
• Dilution should not result in a solution strength of less than 10% to protect the effectiveness of the internal bacteriostat.

Packaging and Storage

• Standard regional pack sizes include Pail, Drum, and IBC tote. Information on drumless or bulk tanker delivery is available on request.
• Protect from freezing during storage, as active ingredients may separate under extreme temperatures.
• If freezing occurs, warm the chemical until it returns to its liquid state and stir to recombine.
