Product Identification

AWC® A-103 is a membrane antiscalant and silica antifoulant.

Advantages

• Proprietary blend of antiscalants, antifoulants, and silica dispersants.
• Inhibits calcium carbonate scale up to a Calcium Carbonate Nucleation Index (CCNI) of 2.2.
• Designed for high silica levels, up to 250% saturation of silica in the reject stream.
• Effectively disperses aluminum-silicate foulants such as Kaolinites.
• Stabilizes metal ions and disperses metal oxides (e.g., iron, manganese) as well as colloidal particles (e.g., silt, clay).
• Controls calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, calcium phosphate, calcium fluoride, barium sulfate, and strontium sulfate scales in waters with high fouling potential.
• Environmentally compatible, suitable where discharge concerns exist.
• Certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 60.

Chemical Feeding and Control

• Normally fed continuously prior to the final cartridge filter.
• Injected by chemical dosing pump from a dilution tank or directly from the drum to the feedwater line.
• The required dosage rate depends on feedwater quality and membrane system operational parameters.
• An AWC technical representative will provide the appropriate dosage rate.
