Belclene® 220 is a phosphono polycarboxylic acid homopolymer in aqueous solution. It can be used for ferrous metal corrosion inhibition and calcium carbonate deposit control or as part of a multifunctional open evaporative or closed cooling water formulation.
Application
Formulations with Belclene 220 offer:
- Excellent calcium carbonate scale inhibition in severe service conditions, where the LSI approaches 3.0.
- Provides both threshold inhibition and crystal modification.
- Enhances the performance of phosphonate-based formulations by imparting scale and corrosion control.
Belclene 220 is effective on controlling calcium carbonate scale for systems with high hardness, high alkalinity, and high temperatures.
