Product identification

Bellacide® 325 is a specialized algaecide for industrial cooling and ornamental water systems. It is an aqueous dispersion of terbuthylazine (TBZ).

• Industrial cooling and process water systems

Benefits

• 8-times better algal inhibition than non-oxidizing biocides like glutaraldehyde or DBNPA.
• Selective control of algal growth by inhibiting photosynthesis.
• Eliminates problems caused by unchecked algal growth, such as loss of cooling efficiency, increased corrosion, blockages, and visible contamination.
• Cost-effective and prolonged protection against all identified strains of algae, even at low halogen levels.

Usage

• In the absence of halogens: Maintain 75 ppm product or 3 ppm active ingredient (a.i.).
• In the presence of halogens: Maintain 25 ppm product or 1 ppm a.i. Halogen can be shock dosed (0.5 – 1 ppm free halogen for 1 hour once per day) or continuously dosed (0.1 – 0.3 ppm free halogen).

• pH limitations: Stable in neutral, alkaline, and acidic solutions. Usable in cooling water within the pH range of 6-9.
