Summary
Product identification
Flocon® 190 is an antiscalant for Reverse Osmosis Systems, described as a solution of an organic phosphonate.
Description
- Excellent control of carbonate and sulphate scales.
- Does not adversely interact with polymeric coagulant aids.
- Compatible with all major membranes.
- International potable water approvals.
Application
Flocon 190 is a solution of an organic phosphonate. Appropriate dosing equipment should be used. Examples of suitable materials include 316L stainless steel, or plastics such as GRP, PVC and PE. The recommended injection point is into the feedwater downstream of any filtration equipment and cartridge filters.
Usage
- Flocon 190 is miscible with water in all proportions.
- It may be applied as the neat product, or as a solution in permeate.
- A minimum dosing solution strength of 10% w/w is recommended.
- Should be dosed continuously and proportionately to the feed water flow.
- Dose level required is dependent on feedwater quality and saturation indices of scale-forming species. Proprietary computer software is used to calculate scaling indices and optimum system recovery.
