Flocon® 260 is an aqueous solution of a specialised polycarboxylic acid, designed for controlling inorganic scale and particulate fouling on membrane surfaces.

Application

Flocon 260 is a corrosive concentrated organic acid solution. Corrosion-resistant dosing equipment, such as 316L stainless steel, GRP, PVC, or PE, is recommended.

The recommended injection point is into the feedwater, downstream of any filtration and cartridge filters.

Usage

Flocon 260 is miscible with water in all proportions and can be applied neat or as a solution in permeate. A minimum dosing solution strength of 10% w/w is recommended. Continuous, proportional dosing to feedwater flow is required to maintain the recommended dose level.

The required dose level depends on feedwater quality and the saturation indices of scale-forming species in the concentrated brine. Proprietary software is used to calculate scaling indices and optimum system recovery. Dose level projections are available on request.
