Flocon Plus N

Engineering summary from PDF text extraction for Flocon Plus N. Verify every value with the OEM datasheet.

Summary

Product identification

Flocon® Plus N is a high-performance liquid antiscalant designed for controlling inorganic scale deposition on seawater membrane units (SWRO).

Key features include:

  • Excellent control of carbonate and sulphate scales for cost-effective operation
  • Compatibility with all major membrane types
  • International potable water approvals
  • Dispersant properties

Application

Flocon Plus N is a neutralized aqueous solution of organic acids. The dosing system can be constructed from standard materials. It is recommended to inject into the feedwater downstream of filtration and cartridge filters.

Usage

Flocon Plus N is miscible with water in all proportions. It can be applied neat or as a solution in permeate. A minimum dosing solution strength of 10% w/w is recommended. The product should be dosed continuously and proportionally to the feedwater flow. The required dose level depends on feedwater quality and the saturation indices of scale-forming species in the concentrated brine. Proprietary software is used to calculate scaling indices and optimum system recovery. Dose level projections and recommendations are available upon request.
