Uses
PermaClean PC-87 is designed for use in RO systems as a cleaning compound.
Dosage and Application
- Dosage is recommended by the Nalco representative based on specific system conditions.
- Cleaning time depends on the amount of fouling in the system.
- Always use as recommended by the membrane manufacturer regarding cleaning pH and temperature.
- Should be fed via a closed system. A closed system is defined as a system where fluid is moved from a closed storage vessel into treated media without atmospheric exposure, except through normal venting or pressure relief devices.
- Thorough flushing is required to remove residual cleaning product from membrane surfaces before returning the system to service.
Materials Compatibility
Storage and application equipment (pumps and lines) should be made of PVC, PE, Teflon, or Stainless Steel.
Do not use Aluminum, Brass, or Carbon steel in contact with the neat product.
Handling and Storage
- Use protective equipment such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling.
- Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet for Environmental and Safety information.
- Can be stored for at least 12 months from the date of shipping if kept in its original, unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions.
- Protect from freezing and exposure to high temperatures.
