RoQuest® 6000 is a liquid blend of organic coagulants and ferric sulfate.

Product Information

• Appearance: Clear, dark brown liquid
• pH (1% solution): 2.0-3.0
• Specific Gravity (@25°C): 1.40-1.60
• Soluble ferric ion: > 9.5%
• Ferrous ion: < 0.2%

Performance Benefits

• Contains more than 9.5% soluble ferric ion and less than 0.2% ferrous ion.
• Filter-aid properties resist solids breakthrough in direct filter applications.
• Low dosage requirements and effective over a wide pH range.
• Capable of producing RO quality feedwater in multimedia and sand filters.
• Compatible with polyamide and cellulose acetate RO membranes and Avista antiscalants, including Vitec® 3000, 3025, 5000, 5100 and 7000.

Instructions for Use

Injecting

Inject RoQuest 6000 at least 5 m upstream of multimedia filters. Do not use static mixers ahead of the filters.

Dosing

• Typical dose: 5-35 mg/l
• Alkalinity requirement: Approximately 0.25 mg/l of alkalinity expressed as calcium carbonate is required per mg/l of RoQuest 6000.
• Residual alkalinity: A minimum of 25 mg/l of residual alkalinity is required.
• Significant overdosing may cause degradation in filtered water quality.

Dilution

• Feed neat if possible.
• When dilution is necessary, dilute no more than 4:1 with RO permeate or deionized water.

Packaging and Storage

• Standard Pack Sizes:
  • Pail: 45 lb (23 kg)
  • Drum: 500 lb (300 kg)
  • IBC tote: 2500 lb (1500 kg)
• Protect from freezing.
