Mechanical / hydraulic

The control valves feature a robust electromechanical powerhead with heavy-duty 3/8˝ wide plastic gears and a simple mechanical design for serviceability.

Programming and Operation

  • Gallon Capacity Setting: Calculate system capacity, subtract reserve, and set remaining gallons opposite the white dot on the program wheel gear. The capacity arrow indicates remaining gallons exclusive of reserve.
  • Immediate Regeneration Timers: These timers lack a 24-hour gear. Setting gallons and manual regeneration follow the same procedure.
  • Setting Regeneration Days (3210): Rotate the skipper wheel to align "1" with the red pointer. Slide tabs on the skipper wheel outward to expose trip fingers for desired regeneration days. Each tab represents one day; the finger at the red pointer is for tonight.
  • Setting Time of Day (Models 3200 & 3210): Press and hold the red button to disengage the drive gear. Turn the large gear until the actual time of day aligns with the pointer. Release the red button to re-engage the drive gear.
  • Manual Regeneration: Turn the manual regeneration knob clockwise. This engages the program wheel and starts the regeneration program. The black center knob completes one revolution in approximately three hours. Conditioned water is available after rinse water stops flowing from the drain line.
  • Adjusting Regeneration Time:
    1. Disconnect power.
    2. Locate three screws behind the manual regeneration knob by pressing the red button and rotating the 24-hour dial.
    3. Slightly loosen screws to release pressure on the time plate.
    4. Align the desired regeneration time on the time plate with the raised arrow in the 24-hour dial cutout.
    5. Press the red button, rotate the 24-hour dial, and tighten the screws.
    6. Verify the regeneration time by pressing the red button and locating the pointer again.
    7. Reset the time of day and restore power.
