Shell Expansion

The high-performance Filament wound FRP shell is designed to expand under pressure. Expected expansion for a length code –8 vessel is approximately:

  • Length (∆L): 0.2 in. (6mm)

Ordering Information

When ordering, customers should specify the following options:

  • Vessel Length Code: Select from -1 to -8.
  • Membrane Brand and Model: To ensure correct adapter provision.
  • Certification Required: Options include ASME Stamped and National Board Registered, CE Marked Standard, Certified by Pentair Water, in compliance with ASME Sec X (but not Code Stamped), or Hydro testing at 1.1 or 1.5 times the design pressure.
  • Permeate Port Selection:
    • Size: 1", 1.25", 1.5".
    • Type of Connection: FNPT, MNPT, BSPTM, BSPTF, IPS GROOVED.
    • Material of Construction: PET/Noryl, SS316L, Zeron 100.
    • Note: The standard offering is 1.0” FNPT in PET/Noryl. Certain 1.25” & 1.5” connections (BSPTF, FNPT) are not available.
