Double rod probe 11362Z
PDF datasheet mirror for Double rod probe 11362Z (Endress + Hauser Level measurement). Verify with OEM before design.
Summary
Product identification
- Product Name: Double rod probe 11362Z
- Type: Process instrument, sensor, transmitter, or analyzer for level measurement.
Application
These probes are designed for:
- Limit Detection: Accurate detection of fill levels or overspill protection in plastic or non-conducting vessels.
- Two-point Control: Can be used in vessels with electrically conducting walls.
- Corrosive Liquids: Suitable for aggressive products due to highly corrosion-resistant materials for probe rods and process connections.
- Explosion Hazardous Areas (11362 Z version):
- Zone 0
- Waste water plants (sometimes regarded as Zone 0)
- Overspill protection for water-polluting liquids (WHG).
Operating limits
- Plastic process connections:
- Operating pressure: –0.2...+0.2 bar
- Temperature: –25°C...+80°C
- Metal process connections: Operating pressure and temperature depend on the specific connection (refer to drawing in the original document).
- EW 11 Z electronic insert: Maximum permissible operating temperature is 80°C.
- PP process connections (DN 50, DN 80, DN 100, DN 150): Maximum 1.5 bar abs.
- PP process connections (2", 3", 4"): Maximum 22 psia.
Feed water
The probes are designed for various liquid applications, including those with potentially conductive deposits on the probe insulation.
Product water
Not applicable to this product datasheet.
Electrical
- Electronic Insert: The probe can be supplied with an integrated EW 11 Z electronic insert for cable monitoring or an integrated terminal block.
- Function Monitoring: The EW 11 Z can be used for continuous cable monitoring with maximum limit indication when paired with a Nivotester FTW 325/470 Z/570 Z/520 Z, which is required for overspill protection.
- Explosion Hazardous Area Use: The probe is not permitted for use in explosion hazardous areas when connected to the Nivotester FTW 420.
- Ground Connection: A good ground connection between the probe head and the vessel is important.
Mechanical / hydraulic
- Probe Rods & Process Connections: Made from highly corrosion-resistant materials.
- Variable Process Connections:
- Thread G 1 ½ A (parallel)
- Thread 1 ½“ NPT (tapered)
- Flanges conforming to DIN (DN 40 to DN 200, PN 16 or PN 40)
- Flanges conforming to ANSI (1 ½“ to 4", 150 psi or 300 psi)
- Installation:
- Generally installed vertically.
- Compact probes up to approx. 300 mm can be installed at any orientation.
- A support is required for probes subjected to high lateral loads.
- For liquids tending to deposit conductive layers, the final spacer should be moved at least 100 mm from the end.
- If the probe needs to be shortened, ensure the insulation is not damaged and feed-throughs are not subjected to mechanical force. Remove rod insulation at the tip by at least a further 20 mm.
- Probe Length (L): 100 mm ... 4000 mm.
- Materials:
- Spacer material: PFA
- Seal (thread version): elastomer/fibre, non-asbestos
- Rod materials available include 316Ti, Alloy B, Alloy C4, Titanium, Tantalum, Monel.
- Insulation Lengths (Standard): Dependent on probe length (L) and whether EW 11 Z or terminals are used.
- Dimensions: Refer to the drawing in the original document for detailed dimensions.
