Installation
- General: Recommended distance from wall to nozzle outer edge is ~1/6 of vessel diameter, minimum 15 cm (5.91 in). Avoid mounting in the center or above the filling curtain. A weather protection cover is recommended.
- Internal vessel fittings: Avoid placement within the signal beam.
- Interference echo suppression: Utilize metal deflector plates or the device's mapping function.
- Beam angle: Varies with antenna size (e.g., 3° for 80 mm antenna, 14° for 20 mm antenna).
- Measurement through ball valve: Permitted through open full bore ball valves if gaps do not exceed 1 mm (0.04 in).
- Measurement through plastic cover/dielectric windows: Suitable for media with εr ≥ 10. Optimum thickness depends on window material.
- Free-space installation: Antenna axis must be perpendicular to the product surface. Maximum nozzle length varies by antenna type and nozzle diameter.
