Summary
Product Identification
- Product Name: Memosens CCS58E
- Description: Digital sensor with Memosens technology for determining ozone.
- Applications: Wastewater (discharge guarantee), Drinking water (disinfection), Process water (hygienic packaging and bottling).
Measuring Principle
The CCS58E utilizes an amperometric measuring principle to determine ozone (O₃). Ozone diffuses through a membrane and is reduced to hydroxide ions (OH⁻) at the working electrode. A current flows, proportional to the ozone concentration, which is then used by the transmitter to calculate the concentration in mg/l (ppm). This process is largely independent of pH over a wide range.
Key Features and Benefits
- Robust Membrane Technology: High surfactant resistance, suitable for cleaning processes.
- High Specificity for Ozone: Ensures reliable measured values for disinfection.
- Heartbeat Technology: Offers advanced capabilities like an electrolyte counter for predictive maintenance.
- Fast Commissioning: Factory calibration and plug-and-play installation.
- Memosens Technology:
- Non-contact, digital signal transmission.
- Galvanic isolation, dust- and waterproof (IP 68).
- Sensor can be calibrated in a lab.
- Intrinsically safe electronics for use in hazardous areas.
- Stores sensor data (total hours, extreme condition hours, temperature hours, calibration history) for predictive maintenance and documentation.
- Easy calibration and quick sensor replacement, increasing measuring point availability.
- Cross-Sensitivity: No cross-sensitivities to free chlorine, free bromine, total chlorine, total bromine, hydrogen peroxide, peracetic acid. Minimum cross-sensitivity to chlorine dioxide. Surfactants do not affect performance.
Measuring System Components
A complete measuring system includes:
- Memosens CCS58E sensor
