Condumex CLS19 Conductivity sensor

Application

The sensor is designed for measuring conductivity in pure and ultrapure water for monitoring and control of:

• Ion exchangers
• Reverse osmosis
• Cooling water
• Distillations
• Chip cleaning

Measuring principle

The CLS19 utilizes a conductive measurement principle with two electrodes. An alternating voltage is applied, generating a current flow through the medium. Conductivity is calculated based on Ohm's law and the sensor's cell constant.

Measuring system

A complete system includes:

• CLS19 conductivity sensor
• A transmitter (e.g., Liquiline M CM42)
• A measuring cable (e.g., CYK71 for analog sensors)

The sensor is connected via its fixed cable or a measuring cable (e.g., CYK71) with a shield.

Installation instructions

• Mount directly via the NPT ½" process connection thread or use a T-piece/cross fitting.
• Ensure electrodes are fully immersed in the medium.
• For ultrapure water applications, work under air-evacuated conditions to prevent CO₂ dissolution.
