The product is the Liquiline DAT module CY42.
DAT Types
There are three types of DAT modules:
- SystemDAT (CY42-S1): Used for firmware updates and changing the language package.
- FunctionDAT (CY42-F1/F2): Used for firmware upgrades.
- F1: For 2 current outputs.
- F2: For additional functionalities with the "Advanced" firmware package.
- CopyDAT (CY42-C1): A memory for saving and copying configurations to other CM42 devices.
Using the DAT Module
- Insert the DAT module into the right-hand slot in the housing cover. If the cover lacks an opening, release retaining clips to remove it, then refit and secure after use.
- Select the desired function from the DAT menu.
- Follow on-screen instructions until prompted to restart the device.
- If changing hardware (e.g., sensor type or module), connect the new hardware with the relevant cable and sensor.
- Remove the DAT module from the slot.
DAT Functions
SystemDAT
Purpose: Firmware updates and changing the device language.
Firmware Updates:
- Devices from May 2006 to May 2009: Disconnect power, insert SystemDAT, start device, and follow instructions.
- Devices from June 2009 onwards: Insert SystemDAT during operation, then navigate to
SETUP/DAT menu/SystemDAT Openand select "Update". - Devices up to May 2006: DAT modules are not supported.
Changing Language:
- Navigate to
SETUP/DAT menu/SystemDAT Open. - Select "Language" and follow the on-screen instructions. The second language can be changed; it replaces the existing second language, not added.
FunctionDAT
Purpose: To extend the functionality of the Liquiline M CM42.
Available Upgrades:
- Upgrade from one to two current outputs (using CY42-F1).
- Upgrade from "Basic" to "Advanced" firmware version (using CY42-F2).
Procedure: Navigate to SETUP/DAT menu/FunctionDAT Open and follow on-screen instructions. A FunctionDAT can only be used for one device.
CopyDAT
Purpose: To save and load device configurations.
Procedure: Navigate to SETUP/DAT menu/CopyDAT Open and follow on-screen instructions. Options include "Read from DAT" (upload configuration) and "Write to DAT" (save current configuration).
DAT Menu Options
The DAT menu provides access to:
- SystemDAT:
- Display language: Supports multiple languages including English, German, French, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian.
- Update: Allows updating the current software package (e.g., PH, COND, DO) to a selected version. For changing sensor types, the "Sensor type" option should be used.
- FunctionDAT: Depending on the module type (CY42-F1 or CY42-F2), options include "2nd current output" or "Software extension".
- CopyDAT: Options for "Read from DAT" and "Write to DAT".
- Info: Displays saved information.
