Measuring Principle
The analyzer employs the Indophenol blue method for the photometric determination of ammonium. In an alkaline solution, sodium dichloroisocyanurate and sodium salicylate react with ammonium to form a green/blue dye, as defined by ISO 7150-1. The absorption is measured at defined wavelengths and is proportional to the ammonium concentration. A reference measurement is performed to compensate for interference influences.
