The Liquiline System CA80TP is a wet-chemical analyzer designed for the almost continuous determination of total phosphorus (P) concentration in liquid media.

Measuring principle

The analyzer uses a colorimetric measuring principle. After sample preparation, the sample is digested at a higher temperature with a digestion reagent. Color reagents are then metered in, causing a characteristic color change in the sample. A photometer measures the light absorption at defined wavelengths. This absorption is proportional to the concentration of the parameter under analysis. A reference measurement is performed to compensate for interference. The Molybdenum blue method according to DIN EN ISO 6878 is used for photometric determination of orthophosphate following digestion.

Measuring system

A complete measuring system comprises:

  • Liquiline System CA80TP analyzer
  • Reagents, cleaner, and standard solution (ordered separately)
  • Suction strainer or optional Y strainer with process connection

Feed water

  • Analyzer (without Y strainer): Unpressurized
  • Y strainer (optional): Permitted pressure range max. 4 bar (58.01 psi). Sufficient flow is required for the Y strainer to be completely filled.
