Device principle

The sampler operates using either a vacuum pump or a peristaltic pump.

Mode of operation with a vacuum pump

Sampling involves four steps: Blow clear, Intake, Dose, and Drain. Sample intake is controlled by conductivity probes in the dosing system. Dosing can occur with or without pressure, with sample volume set by adjusting the dosing tube scale (white 'A' for no pressure, blue 'B' for pressure).

Mode of operation with a peristaltic pump

Sampling involves three steps: Rinse, Intake, and Drain. The pump draws in medium until the medium detection system responds, then the sample volume is calculated. The system can automatically detect suction height, eliminating the need for manual input.

Sampling unit

A complete sampling unit can include a controller, pump (vacuum or peristaltic), sample bottles, a temperature regulator for the sample compartment, and a suction line with a suction head. Various bottle combinations are available, including 1x 30 liters, 1x 60 liters, 4x 17 liters, 4x 13 liters, 12x 3 liters, and 24x 1 liter.

Sample temperature regulation

The sample compartment temperature can be adjusted via the controller. The factory setting is 4 °C (39 °F). The cooling module operates with an automatic defrost system. The cooling rate is specified as 4 liters of water at 20 °C (68 °F) cooling to 4 °C (39 °F) in under 210 minutes. Temperature constancy is maintained at 4 °C (39 °F) within an operating range of -20 to 40 °C (-4 to 104 °F).

Sampler housing

The housing is made from high-grade plastic ASA+PC V0, suitable for outdoor installations.
