Function and system design

Measuring principle

The device uses UV light to stimulate PAHs and detects the emitted fluorescent radiation. The PAH concentration is measured in units of phenanthrene equivalents (PAHphe), with excitation at 254 nm and reception up to 360 nm.

Measuring system

A complete measuring system includes the sensor, a Liquiline CM44x multi-channel transmitter, and a flow assembly. The assembly is designed with an integrated bubble trap, which functions optimally at flow rates of at least 100 l/h (26.4 gal/h).

Communication and data processing

Memosens technology

Digital sensors with Memosens technology store calibration data and operating information internally. This allows for quick sensor replacement and independent calibration at a separate location. Data is transferred automatically to the transmitter upon connection.

Mounting

The sensor can be mounted in a flow assembly or directly into a vessel. An angle of inclination can be set to mitigate air bubble formation. When mounting without a flow assembly, ensure the optical window is always fully immersed and maintain a distance of at least 80 mm (3.15 in) from the vessel bottom.
