Memosens Technology Advantages

  • Maximum process safety.
  • Data security through digital transmission.
  • Ease of use with sensor data saved on the sensor.
  • Predictive maintenance enabled by recording sensor load data.

Measuring Principle

The sensor utilizes luminescence quenching. Oxygen-sensitive markers in an optically active layer respond to light pulses. The decay time and intensity of the response signals are dependent on oxygen content and partial pressure.

Measuring System

A complete system includes:

  • Memosens COS81E oxygen sensor
  • Measuring cable CYK10
  • A transmitter (e.g., Liquiline CM42, CM44x/R, CM44P, CM72/82, CML18)
  • Optional: Assembly (e.g., Unifit CPA842, Flowfit CYA21, Cleanfit CPA875)
  • Optional: Memosens analog converter CYM17 for analog controllers.

Dependability

  • Reliability: Memosens technology digitizes data within the sensor, ensuring reliable detection and reporting of sensor failures or connection interruptions.
  • Maintainability: Integrated electronics store calibration data and operational history, allowing for easy calibration independent of the measuring point and enabling predictive maintenance.
  • Integrity: Inductive, non-contact connection prevents issues from moisture and corrosion, ensuring maximum process safety and EMC compliance.

  • Limit of Detection (LOD): 4 ppb
  • Limit of Quantification (LOQ): 10 ppb
  • Repeatability: 2 ppb

Installation

Mounting Instructions

Must be installed in a suitable assembly. Do not install the sensor freely suspended from the cable.

Orientation

  • c-shaped spot cap: Can be installed at any angle (0 to 360°). Self-draining in recommended angles.
  • u-shaped spot cap: Must be installed at an inclination of 0 to 180° in an assembly. Recommended angles are 0 to 45° or 135 to 180° to prevent air bubble attachment. Angles of 45 to 135° may cause increased measured values due to air bubbles. Installation upside down is not permitted.
