Function and System Design

Measuring Principle

  • ORP Measurement: Measures the state of equilibria between oxidizing and reducing components. Uses a platinum or gold electrode with an integrated Ag/AgCl reference system.
  • Temperature Measurement: Integrated NTC 30K temperature sensor.

Measuring System Components

Communication and Data Processing

Digital sensors with Memosens technology must be connected to Memosens-compatible transmitters. Analog transmitters are not compatible.

Installation

Orientation

  • Avoid installing sensors upside-down.
  • Minimum installation angle of 15° from the horizontal is required to prevent electrolyte separation at elevated temperatures and ensure electrolytic contact.

Installation Instructions

  • Ensure assembly thread, O-rings, and sealing surfaces are clean and undamaged before installation.
  • Refer to the Operating Instructions of the assembly used.
  • Tighten sensor by hand with a torque of 3 Nm (2.21 lbf ft) when installing in Endress+Hauser assemblies.

Environment

  • Ambient Temperature Range: 0 to 50 °C (32 to 122 °F). Do not use below freezing temperatures.
  • Storage Temperature: 0 to 50 °C (32 to 122 °F).

  • Process Pressure Range: 0.8 to 14 bar (11.6 to 203 psi) absolute. Caution is advised for pressurized sensors subjected to rapid heating under reduced or atmospheric pressure.
  • Conductivity: > 500 μS/cm (with minimized flow, constant pressure and temperature).
