Measuring Principle

Inductive conductivity measurement using an alternating magnetic field to induce a current in the medium. The strength of this induced current, measured by a secondary coil, is proportional to the medium's conductivity and ion concentration.

Important Properties

Hygiene

The PEEK sensor is injection-molded without joints or crevices, ensuring hygienic safety.

Temperature Measurement

  • Fast Response: Pt 100 sensor in a stainless-steel socket with Chemraz O-ring for rapid temperature response (t90 < 5 s), suitable for applications like CIP return.
  • High Load: Pt 100 sensor embedded in the PEEK sensor body, eliminating the need for a seal, ensuring long service life under high thermal loads and temperature shocks. This version can also be used under negative pressure.

Temperature Compensation

  • Linear compensation with a selectable temperature coefficient (α).
  • Compensation according to IEC 746-3 for NaCl.
  • Compensation with a programmable coefficient table (up to 10 elements).

Process Temperature

Suitable for continuous exposure to +125 °C. Short-time (max. 30 min) operation at +140 °C for sterilization.

Concentration Measurement

The transmitter can switch to concentration mode, offering a freely programmable curve and predefined curves for common CIP solutions, allowing direct display of concentration in %.

Remote Parameter Set Switching (MRS)

Enables:

  • Covering a wide measuring range.
  • Adjusting temperature compensation when changing products.
  • Switching between concentration curves.
