  • With diaphragm seals: up to 400 °C (752 °F).

Pressure Limits

  • High pressure applications up to 400 bar (6,000 psi).

Features and Benefits

  • Excellent reproducibility and long-term stability.
  • High reference accuracy up to ±0.10%.
  • PLATINUM version: ±0.075% accuracy.
  • Turn down ratio up to 100:1.
  • Integrated platform for differential pressure, hydrostatics, and pressure (Deltabar M, Deltapilot M, Cerabar M).
  • User-friendly navigation for easy commissioning.
  • Suitable for process pressure monitoring up to SIL 2, certified to IEC 61508 Edition 2.0 and IEC 61511 by TÜV NORD.
  • Patented TempC process membrane for diaphragm seals minimizes temperature-induced measurement errors.
  • Available in ASME BPE-compliant versions.

Measuring Principles

  • Ceramic Process Membrane (PMC51 - Ceraphire®): Oil-free, direct pressure application to the membrane. Pressure changes capacitance between the ceramic substrate and the membrane. Guaranteed overload resistance up to 40 times nominal pressure. High chemical and mechanical stability.
  • Metallic Process Membrane (PMP51, PMP55): Pressure deflects the membrane, and a fill fluid transfers pressure to a resistance bridge (semiconductor technology).
    • PMP51: Suitable for process pressures up to 400 bar (6,000 psi). High long-term stability. Guaranteed overload resistance up to 4 times nominal pressure. Reduced thermal effect compared to diaphragm seal systems.
    • PMP55: Utilizes a diaphragm seal to transfer pressure to the measuring cell membrane. Suitable for pressures up to 400 bar (6,000 psi) and extreme process temperatures, depending on the version. High long-term stability. Guaranteed overload resistance up to 4 times nominal pressure.

Measuring Range

See the official PDF for exact tabulated values for PMC51 (gauge and absolute pressure) and PMP51/PMP55 (gauge and absolute pressure) regarding measuring cell types, maximum measuring ranges, lowest calibratable spans, MWP, OPL, and vacuum resistance.

  • Note: Highest factory-configurable turn down is 20:1; higher ratios are available on request or can be set in the device.
