Installation

Installation Conditions

  • Prevent moisture ingress into the housing during mounting, connection, and operation.
  • Point cables and connectors downwards where possible.

Influence of Installation Position

Any orientation is possible, but may cause a zero point shift. This shift can be corrected on the device.

  • PTP31B: Up to +4 mbar upwards, Up to –4 mbar downwards.
  • PTC31B (< 1 bar): Up to +0.3 mbar upwards, Up to –0.3 mbar downwards.
  • PTC31B (≥ 1 bar): Up to +3 mbar upwards, Up to –3 mbar downwards.

Mounting Location

  • Gases: Mount with shutoff device above tapping point for condensate drainage.
  • Vapors: Use a siphon; mount preferably with shutoff device and siphon below tapping point.
  • Liquids: Mount with shutoff device and siphon below or at the same height as the tapping point.
  • Level Measurement: Install below the lowest measuring point; avoid filling curtain, tank outlet, pump suction area, or agitator pressure pulse zones.

Mounting Instructions for Oxygen Applications

  • Devices suitable for gaseous oxygen applications must be cleaned per BAM requirements.
