Product identification
The Testomat 2000® Fe is a process photometer designed for monitoring dissolved iron content (II)+(III).
Intended use
This instrument is a wet-chemical online monitor for the colorimetric analysis of dissolved iron. It is suitable for applications such as monitoring de-ironing plants or process and drinking-water flows. The intended use requires adherence to the specified performance limits and medium requirements.
Operating limits
- Pressure range: 0.3 to 8 bar (factory setting). Can be adjusted for 0.3 to 1 bar by removing the flow controller valve body.
- Water temperature: 10°C to 40°C. A KCN type cooler is recommended for temperatures above 40°C.
- pH range: 4 – 10.5.
- Influencing ions: Copper above 0.01 mg/l and aluminum above 0.1 mg/l can affect the color reaction.
Feed water
- Water inlet pressure: 0.3 bar to 8 bar. Avoid strong pressure fluctuations.
- Inlet hose: Opaque plastic hose 6/4 x 1 (external diameter 6 mm, internal diameter 4 mm, wall thickness 1 mm), maximum length 5 m.
- Pump capacity (for 0.3-1 bar operation): 25 to 35 litres/hour, resistant to the measured medium.
Product water
- Measurement range: 0 – 1.0 mg/l dissolved iron (II)+(III).
- Range I: 0 - 0.65 mg/l, resolution: 0.01 mg/l
- Range II: 0.7 – 1.0 mg/l, resolution 0.1 mg/l
- Analysis time: Approximately 7 minutes (absolute measuring time without flushing).
Electrical
- Mains voltage: Connectable to 24 V / 115 V / 230 V AC. Refer to the rating plate for the specific voltage.
- Relay outputs: Maximum load capacity of 4 A at 240 VAC.
- Input/Output connections: Designed for volt-free contacts. Do not connect external voltage.
Mechanical / hydraulic
- Water inlet connection: Standard plug connector for opaque plastic hoses 6/4 x 1.
- Water outlet connection: For outlet hose with an internal diameter of 12 mm.
- Reagent storage: 500 ml reagent bottles. Uses reagents FE2005A and FE2005B.
