Summary
Product identification
DULCOTEST® Sensors for Peracetic Acid
Peracetic Acid Sensor PAA 1-mA
This sensor measures peracetic acid without cross-sensitivity to hydrogen peroxide. It is designed for use in contaminated washing and waste water.
Operating limits
- pH range: 1.0 … 9.0 (peracetic acid stability range)
- Temperature: 1 … 45 °C
- Admissible temperature fluctuation: 0.3 °C/min
- Max. pressure: 3.0 bar (at 30 °C, in DGM)
Feed water
- Intake flow: 30…60 l/h (in in-line probe housing DGM or DLG III)
- Resistance to: Salts, acids, alkalis, surfactants, dirt films
Product water
- Measured variable: Peracetic acid, without cross-sensitivity towards hydrogen peroxide
- Selectivity: Peracetic acid selective towards hydrogen peroxide
- Cross sensitivity: Ozone, chlorine dioxide, chlorine, bromine
Electrical
- Supply voltage: 16...24 V DC (two-wire technology)
- Output signal: 4…20 mA ≈ measuring range, temperature-compensated, uncalibrated, not electrically isolated
Mechanical / hydraulic
- Measuring principle, technology: Amperometric, 2 electrodes, membrane-covered
- Diaphragm: Diaphragm-covered sensor, pore-free diaphragm
- Installation: Bypass: open sample water outlet
- Sensor fitting: DGM, DLG III
- Measuring and control equipment: D1C, DAC, AEGIS II
Measuring ranges
- PAA 1-mA-200 ppm: 1…200 mg/l
- PAA 1-mA-2000 ppm: 10…2,000 mg/l
Note: A mounting kit (order no. 815079) is required for initial fitting of the sensors in the in-line probe housing DLG III.
Application
- CIP (cleaning in place)
- Bottling
- Disinfection in pharmaceutical and medical technology
- Waste water treatment
- Scouring in Cleaning in Place (CIP), rinsers, also suitable in the presence of cationic and anionic tensides. The selective measurement of peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide is possible.
