DULCOTEST LF/LFT/LFTK

Engineering summary from PDF text extraction for DULCOTEST LF/LFT/LFTK. Verify every value with the OEM datasheet.

Summary

Product identification

The LF (T) product range consists of conductivity sensors for measuring electrolytic conductivity in aqueous media. Types include various screw-in threads, cable connections, and options for temperature compensation.

Operating limits

  • Relative air humidity: max. 90 % (non-condensing)
  • Operating temperature: -5 ... 50 °C
  • Storage temperature: -5 ... 50 °C
  • Medium temperature: 0 ... 80 °C (at atmospheric pressure)
  • Max. pressure: 16 bar (at 25°C)
  • Temperature change rate (for sensors with integrated temp. measurement): Not suitable for rapid temperature changes (> 0.3 °K/min). External temperature measurement is recommended for such applications.

Feed water

The material of the sensor is not suitable for measurements in cleaning solutions containing surfactants and media containing solvents.

Product water

  • Cell constant: k = 1.0 cm⁻¹ (± 5 %)
  • Measuring range: approx. 0.01 ... 20 mS/cm

Electrical

  • Electrical connector on the sensor: Fixed cable (types ...FE); DIN 4-pin angle plug (types ...DE)
  • Electrical connection on the measuring device: 2- or 4-wire measuring line
  • Degree of protection: IP 65

Wiring:

  • Measuring electrodes for conductivity: black/blue
  • Temperature sensor (Pt100/Pt1000): green-yellow/brown

Shielding:

  • Compact controller: Shielding connected.
  • D1Ca, DMTa: Shielding is cut off and not connected.

Mechanical / hydraulic

  • Screw-in thread: PG 13.5 or 1/2"
  • Dimensions: Shaft length (up to plug-in head) 120 mm; ø 12 mm
  • Sensor shaft: epoxy resin
  • Sensors (electrodes): special graphite

Installation:

  • Sensors must be installed to ensure measuring electrodes are always fully covered with liquid.
  • Sufficient sensor flow is required to prevent air bubbles from adhering between the measuring electrodes.
  • An adapter PG 13.5/1" (Part no. 1002190) is needed for installing sensors with PG 13.5 threads into ProMinent bypass fittings with 1" threads.

Calibration/Maintenance/Cleaning:

  • Regularly check sensor operation with a conductivity calibration solution.
  • Recalibrate if measured values deviate outside the accuracy specification.
  • Check the gap between measuring electrodes for dirt regularly.
  • Stubborn dirt can be removed with a gentle jet of water, immersion in diluted (1%) acids for 2–3 minutes, or wiping with a cloth or soft brush.
  • Sensors with integrated temperature measurement require a run-in period of at least 15 minutes before calibration for correct temperature compensation.
