Model Selection and Sizing
The VASCO Solar model is selected based on the rated motor voltage and current. The photovoltaic system must provide sufficient power and voltage, considering efficiency losses and string configurations.
Example Sizing: For a pump with P2 = 3 kW, Electric motor power P1 = 4 kW, Rated motor current = 8.3 A, and Rated motor voltage = 3 x 400 VAC, the VASCO Solar 409 is recommended.
PV System Requirements:
- Photovoltaic power (Wp) should be at least equal to the electric motor power (P1), with a recommended 15% increase.
- The rated voltage of each solar panel string (Vmp) must be at least 1.4 times the rated motor voltage.
- The open-circuit voltage (Voc) of each string must be less than the VASCO Solar's maximum operating voltage.
