- Industrial Utility Water 3 components polishing mixed bed
Description
DuPont™ AmberLite™ 600BB is a non-functionalized, spherical inert resin designed for use in mixed beds as "Buffer Beads." Its density and particle size are precisely controlled to achieve a terminal settling velocity between that of cation and anion exchange resins. This creates an inert zone that collects regenerants, minimizing cross-regeneration and thereby improving water quality and reducing rinse times in both internally and externally regenerated mixed bed systems. It is particularly recommended for condensate polishing in the power generation industry and other high-purity mixed bed applications requiring the highest effluent purity.

Hydraulic Characteristics
Estimated bed expansion and pressure drop are illustrated in figures within the original document, dependent on backwash/service flowrate and temperature.
- Backwash Expansion: Figure 1 shows estimated bed expansion as a function of backwash flowrate and temperature (10 – 60°C / 50 – 140°F).
- Pressure Drop: Figure 2 shows estimated pressure drop as a function of service flowrate and temperature (10 – 60°C / 50 – 140°F). These values are for clean water at the start of a service run.
