Summary

Product identification

  • Product Name: AmberLite™ HPR1600 H Ion Exchange Resin
  • Type: Uniform Particle Size, Gel, Strong Acid Cation Exchange Resin
  • Previous Name: AMBERJET™ 1600 H Ion Exchange Resin

Description

AmberLite™ HPR1600 H is a high-capacity cation resin designed for nuclear condensate polishing mixed beds requiring the highest purity and water quality. Its exceptional physical and oxidative stability, due to a high DVB crosslinker level, minimizes the release of organic sulfonate leachables (TOC). This stability is suitable for high-temperature operation, including air-cooled condenser systems. It can extend the hydrogen cycle run length by up to 20% compared to standard resins, reducing regeneration cycles. The resin has good backwash separation characteristics and its black color aids visual separation from lighter anion resins like AmberLite™ HPR9000 OH.

Applications

  • Mixed bed condensate polishing in PWR nuclear power plants
  • Mixed bed condensate polishing in fossil power plants
  • Mixed bed polishing in industrial demineralization
  • Condensate polisher cation pre-beds
  • Condensate polishing in power plants operated with amine cycle
  • Condensate polishing air-cooled condenser systems
  • Start-up regenerable condensate polishing systems in nuclear power plants
