Summary
Product identification
- Product Name: AmberLite™ HPR4200 Cl Ion Exchange Resin
- Type: Uniform Particle Size, Gel, Strong Base Anion Exchange Resin
- Previous Brand: DOWEX MARATHON™ 4200 Cl Ion Exchange Resin
Description
AmberLite™ HPR4200 Cl is a high-quality ion exchange resin designed for industrial demineralization applications requiring high performance and cost-effective operation. It balances excellent operating capacity with low pressure drop, while aiming to reduce regenerant and rinse water usage. This resin is compatible with all system technologies and can be used in single or layered anion beds, as well as in mixed bed polishers. Its light color facilitates visual distinction from dark-colored cation resins during backwash separation in mixed bed applications. It is designed for use with AmberLite™ HPR9600 or AmberLite™ HPR9500 Ion Exchange Resins in layered bed systems. In mixed bed applications, AmberLite™ HPR4200 OH is recommended, but AmberLite™ HPR4200 Cl can be used if a chloride form is preferred.
Applications
- Demineralization: Particularly suitable for treating water with a high percentage of silica, aiming for the removal of strong and weak acids with minimal silica leakage.
- Mixed bed polishing: Used for final water polishing in mixed bed systems.
System Designs
Compatible with various system configurations including:
- Mixed beds
- Packed beds
- Layered beds
- Counter-current / Hold-down
- Co-current
