PDF datasheet mirror for AmberLite HPR4700 OH (DuPont). Verify with OEM before design.

Summary

Product identification

  • Product Name: AmberLite™ HPR4700 OH Ion Exchange Resin
  • Type: Uniform Particle Size, Gel, Strong Base Anion Exchange Resin
  • Historical Reference: Previously sold as DOWEX MARATHON™ 550A OH Ion Exchange Resin.

Description

AmberLite™ HPR4700 OH is designed for condensate polishing in fossil-fired electric generating stations and industrial demineralization. It offers a balance of performance, operational simplicity, longevity, and cost-effectiveness. The OH⁻ form facilitates a faster startup with higher water quality and lower TOC (Total Organic Carbon) bleed compared to the Cl⁻ form. Its small average particle size, uniform bead size, and distinguishable light color are engineered for rapid kinetics and excellent separation, particularly when paired with AmberLite™ HPR1300 H. It is also recommended for post-RO mixed bed polishing where silica specifications are stringent and for single-bed demineralization applications without significant organic loading.

Applications

  • Demineralization
    • Treating water with a high percentage of silica.
    • Removal of strong and weak acids.
    • Achieving the lowest silica leakage.
    • Single-bed industrial demineralization for high water purity.
  • Condensate polishing.
  • Mixed bed polishing.
