Summary
Product identification
AmberLite™ HPR9100 Cl Ion Exchange Resin is a uniform particle size, macroporous, strong base anion (Type II) exchange resin designed for industrial demineralization applications.
Description
This resin is optimized for a balance of operating performance and simple, cost-effective operation. Its macroporous structure offers resistance to organic fouling and physical stress, potentially leading to a longer operational lifespan compared to gel Type II resins. Type II resins can provide greater operating capacity than Type I resins due to more complete regeneration.
AmberLite™ HPR9100 Cl is best suited for treating water where silica and carbon dioxide do not exceed 30% of the total anions and where service and caustic regeneration temperatures do not consistently exceed 35°C (95°F). For applications requiring low effluent silica or higher operating temperatures, Type I strong base anion resins like AmberLite™ HPR9200 Cl or AmberLite™ HPR9000 OH or SO₄ are recommended.
Applications
- Demineralization, particularly with:
- High organic fouling potential
- Removal of strong and weak acids
- Dealkalization
