Estimated bed expansion and pressure drop as a function of backwash flowrate, service flowrate, and temperature are shown in Figures 1 and 2 respectively. These figures are valid for temperatures of 10 – 60°C (50 – 140°F) and at the start of the service run with clean water and a well-classified bed. For exact figures, see the official PDF.
