Summary

Product identification

  • Product Name: AmberLite™ IRN9675 H Ion Exchange Resin
  • Product Type: Nuclear-grade, Macroporous, Strong Acid Cation Exchange Resin for Water Treatment Applications in the Nuclear Power Industry
  • Historical Reference: Previously sold as DOWEX™ C-75 NG (H) Ion Exchange Resin.

Description

AmberLite™ IRN9675 H is designed for nuclear loops requiring high resin purity and stability with minimal ionic and non-ionic contamination. It excels at removing radioactive colloidal material, particularly cobalt, and can operate at high linear velocities due to fast kinetics from its macroporous structure. It is often used as an overlay above a mixed bed or a cation resin.

Applications

  • Primary water treatment:
    • Primary coolant purification
    • Treatment of primary coolant blowdown
    • Pre-outage clean-up
  • Rad waste treatment and decontamination:
    • Removal of radioactive cations such as ¹³⁷Cs and cobalt isotopes
    • Removal of radioactive colloids

Purity

Manufactured as nuclear-grade with specific procedures to minimize inorganic impurities and remove soluble organic compounds, meeting the rigorous demands of the nuclear industry. Recommended for non-regenerable and regenerable single bed or mixed bed applications requiring high-quality water.
