Summary

Product identification

AmberLite™ IRN99 H Ion Exchange Resin is a nuclear-grade, uniform particle size, gel, strong acid cation exchange resin designed for water treatment applications in the nuclear power industry.

Description

This resin is specifically designed for nuclear loops requiring high purity and stability with minimal ionic and non-ionic contamination. Its high DVB crosslinker content contributes to exceptional capacity and outstanding physical and oxidative stability. It is sold in the fully regenerated hydrogen form and is intended for non-regenerable single or mixed bed nuclear systems.

Applications

  • Primary water treatment (coolant purification, blowdown treatment, reactor coolant chemistry control)
  • Fuel pool purification in VVER systems
  • Rad waste treatment and decontamination (removal of radioactive cations like 137Cs and cobalt isotopes, silver removal)
  • PWR steam generation blowdown (APG)
  • BWR condensate polishing
