Summary
Product identification
- Product Name: AmberLite™ SCAV4 Cl Ion Exchange Resin
- Product Type: Gaussian, Macroporous, Acrylic, Organic Scavenging Resin for Industrial Applications
- Manufacturer: DuPont
Description
AmberLite™ SCAV4 Cl Ion Exchange Resin is an organic scavenger designed to remove natural organic matter (NOM) from water. It features a macroporous structure for efficient removal of large organic molecules and resistance to physical breakdown. Its hydrophilic acrylic polymer structure allows for effective desorption of organics during regeneration. It is particularly useful for bulk removal of NOM and as pretreatment for reverse osmosis or demineralization systems to reduce fouling potential in waters with high hydrophilic and/or hydrophobic NOM. The resin offers good lifetime and stable performance. When operated in the OH⁻-form, it can also demineralize.
Applications
- Organic scavenging
- Reverse osmosis pretreatment
- Demineralization
System Designs
- Co-current
