Application Information
- The catalyst is produced in a dry form for anhydrous acid-catalyzed reactions.
- For reactions requiring low moisture, drying can be achieved by washing with a dry, water-miscible solvent (alcohol or ketone).
- Exclusion of larger molecules (1500 – 2000 MW) from reaction sites introduces additional selectivity.
Product Stewardship
DuPont's product stewardship philosophy assesses safety, health, and environmental information for products and takes appropriate steps to protect health and the environment.
Customer Notice
DuPont encourages customers to review manufacturing processes and applications to ensure products are not used in ways for which they are not intended or tested. Safety Data Sheets should be consulted prior to use.
WARNING: Oxidizing agents such as nitric acid can attack ion exchange resins under certain conditions, potentially leading to a violent exothermic reaction. Consult knowledgeable sources before using strong oxidizing agents.
