Hydraulic Characteristics

  • Pressure drop is estimated as a function of service flowrate at 20°C (68°F) and is valid at the start of the service run with clean water.
  • Equations are provided for calculating estimated pressure drop at other water temperatures:
    • P<sub>T</sub> = P<sub>20°C</sub> / (0.026T<sub>°C</sub> + 0.48), where P ≡ bar/m
    • P<sub>T</sub> = P<sub>68°F</sub> / (0.014T<sub>°F</sub> + 0.05), where P ≡ psi/ft

UPW Rinse Properties

  • Resins are specially processed and controlled to ensure the purest treated water quality for semiconductor applications.
  • Typical rinse curves for resistivity and total organic carbon (TOC) to DTOC = 2 ppb as a function of rinse volume (in bed volumes) are shown in Figure 2.
