Summary
Product Identification
- Product Name: AmberTec™ UP6040 H/OH Ion Exchange Resin
- Type: Non-Separable, Uniform Particle Size, Mixed Bed Ion Exchange Resin
- Intended Use: Demineralization and ultimate polishing for semiconductor industry
- Previous Name: AMBERJET™ UP6040 Ion Exchange Resin
Description
AmberTec™ UP6040 H/OH is a semiconductor-grade mixed bed ion exchange resin. It is designed for final polishing in high-purity water treatment applications. The product is a pre-mixed combination of strong acid cation and strong base anion ion exchange resins in an equivalent 1:1 ratio. The resin mixture is designed to prevent clumping and separation during handling in water slurry due to its uniform particle size. This ensures optimal performance and allows for high service flow rates, balancing pressure drop and purity for maximum water purity with minimal rinse water.
This product is specifically for non-regenerable final polishing mixed beds in ultrapure water systems, particularly in the semiconductor industry. It is designed to achieve low leakage of ionic species, silica, boron, total organic carbon (TOC), and sub-micron particles. It is not recommended for regenerable mixed bed applications.
