Summary

Product identification

  • Product Name: Lewatit® CNP 80
  • Description: Weakly acidic, macroporous, acrylic-based cation exchange resin of standard bead size distribution.
  • Edition: 2020-11-26

Applications

  • Dealkalization of industrial water by co-current systems
  • Decationization step in demineralization of water (in combination with a strong acidic cation exchange resin, e.g. Lewatit® MonoPlus S 108)
  • Removal of temporary hardness (hardness associated with alkalinity)
  • Polisher in a single bed unit downstream of a demineralization unit for removal of cations present as hydroxides at high flow rates
  • Produced water softening (as single filter unit or polisher in combination with Lewatit® S 1567)
  • Removal/extraction of heavy metals (copper, nickel, zinc) from electroplating rinse waters at pH > 5, in its sodium-form, in the absence of calcium and complexing agents.
