Summary

Product identification

  • Product Name: Lewatit® FO 36
  • Type: Macroporous, monodispersed, polystyrene-based resin for selective adsorption of oxoanions.
  • Functional Group: FeO(OH) (iron oxide film on polystyrene matrix)
  • Ionic Form as Shipped: Neutral
  • Structure: Macroporous
  • Appearance: Brown, opaque

Applications

Lewatit® FO 36 is suitable for:

  • Arsenic removal from drinking water.
  • Arsenic removal from ground water and waste water.
  • Arsenic removal from process solutions, even in the presence of high salt concentrations.

It can remove arsenic to concentrations significantly lower than 10 µg/l. The resin can also selectively adsorb other species like HPO₄²⁻, HSiO₃⁻, HSbO₄²⁻, HVO₄²⁻, SCN⁻, and naturally occurring organic matter, tannins, lignins, uranium complexes, and chromate.
