Applications

This resin is ideally suited for processing organic liquid media and is particularly used in:

  • Production of the gasoline additives MTBE, ETBE and TAME
  • Phenol alkylation with olefins
  • Hydration of olefins
  • Esterifications and etherifications
  • Condensations
  • Alkylation reactions

  • Surface BET: approx. 40 m²/g
  • Pore volume: approx. 0.6 cm³/g
  • Pore diameter: approx. 65 nm

Storage and Handling

  • Storage temperature range: -20 - +40 °C
  • Recommended storage conditions: Above the freezing point of water, under roof, in dry conditions without direct sunlight.
  • Packaging stability: Limited to 24 months under recommended storage conditions. It is recommended to use the product within this timeframe, otherwise check packaging condition regularly.
  • Frozen resin handling: If resin becomes frozen, it should not be mechanically handled and left to thaw gradually at ambient temperature. It must be completely thawed before handling or use. Do not accelerate thawing.
  • Safety precautions: Strong oxidants, e.g., nitric acid, can cause violent reactions. Observe the safety data sheet.
  • Disposal: According to the European waste nomenclature.
