Feed Water / Application Notes
- Selective Removal Order (decreasing affinity): Uranium (UO₂²⁺) > Lead > Copper > Zinc > Nickel > Cadmium > Cobalt >> Calcium > Magnesium > Strontium > Barium >>> Sodium.
- Suitable Applications:
- Fine polishing of brine fed to chloralkali membrane cells (removal of Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺, Ba²⁺, Sr²⁺; in the absence of Fe³⁺ ions)
- Antimony (Sb) and bismuth (Bi) removal from copper containing electrolyte
- Uranium (U) removal from crude phosphoric acid
- Titanium (Ti) removal from recycled battery acid
- Aluminum (Al) removal from urea solutions
- Lead (Pb) and strontium (Sr) removal from BF₄⁻ containing wastewater from PCB production
- Removal of iron(II), nickel and zinc from 5% gluconate containing liquid metal working solutions
- Note on Smaller Bead Size: Requires adaptation of linear velocity and duration for backwash, downflow conditioning, and suspended solid load control.
- Advantages in Secondary Brine Purification (vs. Lewatit® MonoPlus TP 260 and Lewatit® TP 260):
- Up to 100% higher operating capacity without additional regenerant chemicals
- Lower leakage levels
- Improved Strontium and Barium removal efficiency
